Today marks the anniversary of Thomas Jefferson’s birthday. Thomas would be a very ripe 266 years old. I respect a lot about this founding father of our great country, as both the principle drafter of our Constitution to his reign as our 3rd President. He truly was, and probably still is, one of the great minds of the earth. How does this relate to a financial blog? Well, Thomas Jefferson has one of the best quotes about money there ever is:

 Never spend your money before you have it.

Now, can you imagine what our current economic situation would be, both personally and nationally, if we followed this simple principle?
